Start using tooth paste as soon as your baby has teeth.
A small soft – bristled tooth brush may be used to start off an oral hygiene routine. Make sure the tooth brush has a small rounded head that will fit in your child’s mouth. You may also use gauze sponges to aid in the cleaning of your infant’s teeth and gum pads. Always use a pea-sized amount of tooth paste in the bristles of the tooth brush.
As a parent you should take a lead when it comes to your child’s oral health. You should supervise brushing & flossing, monitor diet and ensure that your child is able to visit the dentist regularly. Check up’s are recommended every 3 to 6 months.
